Why is personal information collected when you visit our website?
We are aware that many persons who we do not sponsor access our website for program information. We will never ask for your personal information until you request to be contacted by one of our representatives. Furthermore, we will never ask for your credit card numbers, and therefore do not use an SSL certificate.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information that we collect from you or about you. However, please be aware that no method of transmitting information over the Internet is completely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information.

If you would like to be contacted by one of our representatives regarding your Daycare Home or Center, you will be asked for the following information on our form. Please keep in mind that the information you provide will be kept confidential and will never be offered to third party services.

Signing up for our newsletters
Every month we publish a newsletter with information pertaining to healthy eating, CACFP updates, company news, and so much more. This newsletter has primarily been sent via mail but with the ability to download it online, and as of 2017 it will be made available through email. If you wish to receive the monthly newsletters in your inbox, you will be prompted for your email address. Please keep in mind that the email you provide will be kept confidential and will not be offered to third party services. The newsletter is only available to the sites we sponsor and the government agencies we work with.

The "New" Website
As of Fall 2018, Child Food Program Of Texas’ website has been redesigned. The site is formatted for a variety of different devices. Although the mobile version resembles an app, keep in mind that it still functions as a website and will therefore require the same system requirements as your Internet browser.

Do we share your information?
Since we are a sponsor of a federal program, the only third-parties your information will be shared with are Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We will not share your Personally Identifiable Information with any other third-party entities without your consent.
The newsletters we produce usually have a featured recipe, some of which are from other websites. Although we may post a link to the website where the recipe can be found, we have no responsibility or liability regarding the content and activities of these linked sites.
The ability to Like and Share via Facebook is made available on our main page. If you interact with these options, please keep in mind that privacy policies of Facebook and other similar sites are in effect.
Your children's information
Protecting the privacy of children is important, and at Child Food Program of Texas we always put the children first. It is for this reason that we will never collect personal information regarding a daycare child over the Internet. Any information we seek will be done in person or over the phone. Although we have no way of knowing exactly who contacts us through our forms, we advise you to be sure that children under 13 are not left unattended on the Internet. In the event that we learn we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
